01:36 PM EDT, 03/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies ( UBER ) is providing major backing for a new self-driving car company that co-founder and former CEO Travis Kalanick is preparing to launch, The Information reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Kalanick has also discussed acquiring Anthony Levandowski's startup, the report said.

Uber ( UBER ) didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
