09:31 AM EDT, 10/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies ( UBER ) is launching a program providing a $4,000 grant for US drivers who switch to electric vehicles as part of a rebrand of its Uber Green service to Uber Electric, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing the company.

The grant program will be available for eligible drivers who buy a new or used electric vehicle for Uber use in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, and New York, multiple media outlets reported, citing Uber.

The rebrand is aimed at helping Uber achieve its zero-emission rides target by the end of 2040, the report said.

Uber did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
