Market Chatter: Uber Technologies Nears Deal to Acquire Getir Food From Mubadala, Seeks Turkish Approval
Nov 24, 2025 3:34 AM

06:28 AM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies ( UBER ) is close to a deal to acquire Turkish delivery company Getir's food business from Mubadala in a move that would expand the local market share of Uber Eats, Reuters reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The parties have also sought acquisition approval from Turkish authorities, two sources told Reuters, adding that any final deal is partly dependent on a review by Turkey's Competition Board.

The sources further said that the sale price for the proposal, which was submitted to authorities "for final approval", was unclear and a final deal may not happen, according to the report.

Uber ( UBER ), Mubadala, and Getir did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
