12:05 PM EDT, 10/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies ( UBER ) has launched a shuttle service from Manhattan to LaGuardia Airport at $18 per trip, with a 50% discount for the first month, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing an announcement made by the company at a London event.
The service will cover a route between the airport, Port Authority Terminal, Grand Central Terminal, and another route between the airport and Penn Station. The shuttles will run every 30 minutes between 5 am to 11 pm, according to Uber's ( UBER ) website.
New York is the company's first airport location for its shuttle service. It plans to expand the service to include other airports and other events as well, the report added.
Users can reserve up to four seats up to seven days in advance using their Uber ( UBER ) app. They will be able to track their shuttle's location up to 25 minutes before pick-up time, the company said.
Uber Technologies ( UBER ) didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
Shares were up 1.7% in recent trading.
