05:25 AM EDT, 03/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The US Department of Justice's antitrust division does not plan to fast track the approval for Paramount Skydance's ( PSKY ) planned acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) due to political issues, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing the acting head of the antitrust division, Omeed Assefi.

Assefi made the remarks during an interview with Reuters, according to the report.

The US Department of Justice's antitrust division, Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ), and Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments,
