09:19 AM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The US International Development Finance Corp. is in talks to establish a $5 billion fund to invest in the mining of critical minerals such as copper, cobalt and rare earths, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The agency is in discussions to establish the fund as a joint venture with investment firm Orion Resource Partners, the people reportedly told Bloomberg.
