01:21 PM EDT, 04/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Valero Energy ( VLO ) and Chevron ( CVX ) are set to buy oil shipped through Canada's Trans Mountain pipeline system for their refineries in California, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.
The cargoes of Cold Lake crude will be loaded out of a terminal near Vancouver in June, the report added.
The pipeline, which has undergone an expansion, is set to enter commercial operation on May 1, the report said.
Valero Energy ( VLO ) and Chevron ( CVX ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
