06:40 AM EDT, 07/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) is considering the sale of 5,000 to 6,000 cell phone towers to potential buyers who could pay more than $3 billion, Bloomberg News reported late Monday, citing unnamed sources.

Verizon has engaged advisers to gauge interest from potential buyers, the report said.

Verizon did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
