02:25 PM EDT, 03/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Versant Media ( VSNT ) is considering an acquisition of Vox Media's podcast network, The New York Times reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The CNBC and MS NOW parent company is among several suitors in early-stage discussions to buy the unit, which produces about 40 podcasts. The negotiations remain preliminary and may not result in a deal, according to the news outlet.
Other prospective buyers have expressed interest in different segments of Vox Media's business, including New York magazine and websites such as The Verge and Eater, the publication noted.
Versant and Vox Media did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
