01:55 PM EDT, 08/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Seven Teamsters members were restrained, detained and criminally charged July 17 while protesting outside an Amazon ( AMZN ) warehouse in Staten Island, the Washington Post reported Thursday, citing video footage it obtained.

The union said the incident took place on public land outside the warehouse, where police had informed workers they can protest, according to the report.

NYPD officials could not provide details of the incident to the newspaper because there was no police report.
