06:48 AM EDT, 09/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vietnam's president and Communist Party chief, To Lam, is set to visit the US next week to meet with representatives from corporations such as Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ), and Facebook's parent Meta Platforms ( META ) , Reuters reported late Tuesday, citing two people briefed about the plans.

Lam is scheduled to meet representatives from Google ( GOOG ) and Meta, each of whom will meet with him separately, the report said.

Lam will also attend a business forum on Monday alongside other US business representatives, the report added.

Google ( GOOG ) and Facebook did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
