06:24 AM EDT, 05/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walmart ( WMT ) is laying off hundreds of corporate staff and asking most remote workers to return to offices, The Wall Street Journal reported late Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Walmart ( WMT ) has also asked employees in small offices in Dallas, Atlanta and Toronto to move to central hubs in Bentonville, Arkansas; Hoboken, New Jersey, or Northern California, the report said.

Walmart ( WMT ) will continue to allow part-time remote work, but requires the staff to be in the office most of their time, the report added.

Walmart ( WMT ) didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
