05:59 AM EDT, 04/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Walmart ( WMT ) continues to urge its Chinese suppliers to lower their prices to offset US President Donald Trump's tariffs, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

Sources told Bloomberg that Walmart ( WMT ) has been requesting up to a 10% price cut from suppliers for every round of tariffs. According to the report, Chinese government officials have requested to meet with Walmart ( WMT ) executives last week to discuss the matter.

Walmart ( WMT ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
