07:20 AM EDT, 04/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney ( DIS ) has secured enough votes to win the board fight against shareholders Blackwells Capital and Trian Fund Management, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

Sources told Reuters that Disney's ( DIS ) board nominees were safely ahead of Blackwells' three nominees and Trian's Nelson Peltz and Jay Rasulo as of Tuesday night. The results are set to be announced Wednesday, the report said.

Walt Disney ( DIS ), Blackwells and Trian did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
