02:33 PM EDT, 04/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney ( DIS ) is planning to create a series of channels showing continuous scheduled streams of shows within Disney+ streaming service, Information reported Monday, citing people involved in the planning.

The channels will focus on programming in specific genres such as either Star Wars or Marvel-branded shows, according to the report.

Disney ( DIS ) previously launched similar channels on its ABC.com app that were dedicated to its ABC network's "20/20" news show and "General Hospital" soap opera, the report added.

Disney ( DIS ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
