Market Chatter: Walt Disney's ESPN Eyes User-Generated Content for New Streaming Service

11:51 AM EST, 02/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney ( DIS )-owned (DIS) ESPN ( DIS ) will include user-generated content in its upcoming streaming service, set to launch this year, CNBC reported Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The feature likely will not be available at the streaming service's launch, which is being targeted for before September, according to the report. ESPN ( DIS ) is looking at pricing the new service at either $25 or $30 per month, the sources said.

ESPN ( DIS ) did not respond to CNBC's request for comment. The cable sports broadcasting network also didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
