Market Chatter: Warner Bros. Discovery Looking to Strengthen Original Programming for TNT
Aug 23, 2024 11:51 AM

09:05 AM EDT, 08/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) has started working on expanding original programming for TNT, but the content will not be as expensive as TNT's previous offerings, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Among the shows in the works for next year and beyond are "high-adrenaline" dramas that TNT's male audience likes and fit well with its sports programming, the report said.

TNT has acquired "The Librarians" sequel "The Librarians: The Next Chapter" and plans to raid the movie library of Warner Bros. to reboot some films into made-for-TV movies or series, according to the report.

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
