06:20 AM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Warner Music Group ( WMG ) is in discussions with Netflix ( NFLX ) to produce movies and documentaries based on the label's artists and songs, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Earlier this year, Warner Music ( WMG ) shut down a division that produced films and TV programs to save costs. It now wants to outsource that work, the sources told Bloomberg.

Warner Music ( WMG ) Chief Executive Robert Kyncl reportedly said that the company has a "tremendous catalog" of rights to songs by artists, such as Madonna and Prince.

The companies did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
