02:38 PM EDT, 03/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Woodside Energy Group ( WDS ) is negotiating better financial terms from the Trinidad and Tobago government before agreeing to develop the Calypso deepwater natural gas project in the country, Reuters reported Friday, citing Chief Executive Meg O'Neill.

"The fiscal terms are probably well suited for oil, but they have to be a little bit different for gas," O'Neill said on the sidelines of CERAWeek energy conference. according to the report.

Woodside did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
