03:30 PM EDT, 07/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- YPF Sociedad Anonima (YPF) held discussions with Energy Transfer ( ET ) on financing the Vaca Muerta Sur pipeline in Argentina, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing two people familiar with the matter.
The Argentine crude driller is leading development of the cross-country pipeline, estimated to cost $2.5 billion, the report said. State-run YPF is also holding talks with other oil drillers in Argentina, the report said, citing one of the people.
Dallas-based Energy Transfer ( ET ) declined to comment on the matter, saying the company is looking at opportunities inside and outside the US., and YPF declined to comment, Blomberg said.
YPF and Energy Transfer ( ET ) didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
YPF shares fell 3.5% in recent trading Wednesday, and Energy Transfer ( ET ) dropped 0.9%.
