09:44 AM EDT, 10/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Marriott International ( MAR ) and MGM Resorts International ( MGM ) said Monday that they will collaborate to open the W Las Vegas hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, which they said will become part of the W Hotels brand within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.

The companies said the hotel is being converted from an existing building on the Mandalay Bay hotel grounds and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The collaboration is part of a strategic licensing agreement that Marriot and MGM signed last year.
