06:51 AM EDT, 07/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Masimo ( MASI ) said Tuesday it has filed a complaint in California federal court seeking to require Politan Capital to correct alleged misstatements and omissions in its proxy materials.

The company also alleged Politan founder Quentin Koffey of assisting plaintiff's counsel in litigation against Masimo ( MASI ), among other things.

In June, Politan, which owns 9% of Masimo's ( MASI ) shares, wrote a letter expressing concerns over Masimo's ( MASI ) decisions regarding capital allocation and board oversight. It also nominated two individuals to Masimo's ( MASI ) board.

Masimo ( MASI ) has responded to Politan's accusations earlier this month, saying that they are some of the company's "most egregious and continuing misrepresentations."

Masimo ( MASI ) said Tuesday that it has rescheduled its annual stockholders meeting to Sept. 19 from July 25.

Politan did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
