Masimo Lawsuit Forced Politan Capital to Issue Corrective Disclosures
Sep 12, 2024 11:22 AM

01:46 PM EDT, 09/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Masimo ( MASI ) said Thursday the lawsuit it had filed forced Politan Capital Management to issue corrective disclosures on what the company called "false and misleading statements" to shareholders.

The company issued the statement in response to Politan's press release earlier Thursday where the activist investor said that a California judge denied Masimo's ( MASI ) request for a preliminary injunction. The order is still under seal.

Masimo ( MASI ) said Politan lied about the spin-off, the board's role in the sale process and the outcome of the sale process.

The company urged shareholders to vote for its director nominees, Joe Kiani and Christopher Chavez.

Politan had called on shareholders to vote for its nominees Darlene Solomon and William Jellison.

Politan didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Aug 17, 2025
SYDNEY, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Google agreed on Monday to pay a A$55 million ($35.8 million) fine in Australia after the consumer watchdog found it had hurt competition by paying the country's two largest telcos to pre-install its search application on Android phones, excluding rival search engines.
