11:45 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Mastercard ( MA ) said in a Thursday filing that it received a formal request for information from the European Commission in August, related to a probe into alleged anti-competitive behavior of some of its card scheme services in the European Union.

The company said the request is mainly focused on its practices on network fees related to acquirers and that it is cooperating with the European Commission.
