Matador Technologies Buys $500,000 in Bitcoin

07:23 AM EST, 02/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Matador Technologies ( MTDTF ) , a blockchain-powered digital gold platform, said Wednesday that it acquired an additional 3.46 bitcoin for $500,000.

The company purchased the bitcoin at an average price of USD$99,580 apiece, inclusive of fees and expenses.

Matador said the acquisition brings its holdings to about 68.14 bitcoin. The company said it also maintains cash reserves of about $1.8 million and physical gold holdings of 2 kilograms.

Matador's share price fell 3% on Tuesday to $0.485 on the TSXV.
