12:08 PM EST, 01/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Mattel ( MAT ) said Thursday it formed a partnership with manga and anime media brand Tokyopop to develop graphic novels based on the toymaker's Hot Wheels and Barbie brands.

The manga-style novels will be aimed at children ages 8 to 12 and debut in print in 2026, the company said.
