08:29 AM EST, 02/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Matthews International ( MATW ) activist investor Barington Capital Group said Friday that proxy advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services has recommended shareholders to vote "withhold" on Matthews' director nominees -- Terry Dunlap, Alvaro Garcia-Tunon, and J. Michael Nauman.

Barington said ISS has recommended that shareholders vote for Barrington's nominees, Ana Amicarella, Chan Galbato, and James Mitarotonda.

Barrington said it urges shareholders to follow the ISS recommendation.

Shareholders will vote on the matter at Matthews' annual general meeting Feb. 20.

Matthews did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
