08:00 AM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Mawson Finland (MFL.V) said Wednesday that it has completed its first drill program on its Rajapalot gold-cobalt property in Finland.

The company said its diamond drilling program comprised 12,070 meters and expects to receive the assays shortly.

"We hope that the results will confirm our belief in the growth potential of the deposit," CEO Noora Ahola said.

Mawson said it intends to undertake a series of surface geochemical and geophysical surveys in preparation for a 2025 winter drilling campaign.

The company's share price rose 9.1% yesterday to $2.40.
