Mayfair Gold Executes Major Engineering Contracts for Fenn-Gib Gold Project Pre-Feasibility Study
May 27, 2025 3:40 AM

06:17 AM EDT, 05/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Mayfair Gold ( MFGCF ) late on Monday said it has executed all required contracts with engineering companies that will participate in the pre-feasibility study on the Fenn-Gib gold project in Ontario.

The PFS, scheduled for completion toward the end of 2025, will evaluate and outline the design, costs and economic potential for Fenn-Gib based on a conventional open-pit mining operation and gold processing plant. It will also provide detail on site and regional infrastructure required to bring the project into production.

The project has a targeted throughput capacity of 4,800 tonnes per day. This design allows Mayfair to focus on the higher-grade near surface mineralization at Fenn-Gib, reduce the potential scale of the upfront initial capital cost to get into production and develop the project on a shorter timeline.

Ausenco Engineering Canada will lead the PFS. AGP Mining Consultants will handle mine planning and the mineral reserve estimate. Knight Piesold will advance tailings and water management, and Terracon Geotechnique and Environmental Applications Group will oversee site geotechnical and and environmental studies. TBT Engineering and TWD Engineering will provide additional scope.

"Mayfair is positioning itself to be a nimble gold development company, focusing on a smaller, higher-grade, higher margin mine development that can be permitted and built to take advantage of the strong current Canadian gold price market," said CEO Nick Campbell.
