12:29 PM EST, 11/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Taylor Fresh Foods is the subject of a class action lawsuit over an E. coli outbreak that was linked to the onions it supplied to McDonald's (MCD) for its hamburgers.

"Through marketing and sale, Defendant represented that the Products are safe for people, including pregnant women and their newborns, adults aged 65 or older, and people with weakened immune systems," according to the complaint, which was filed in US District Court for the Northern District of California. "Plaintiff and consumers do not know, and did not have a reason to know, that the Products purchased were contaminated with E. coli."

Taylor Fresh Foods and McDonald's did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
