McDonald's Says Plant-Based Burger Tests in San Francisco, Dallas Not Successful

12:51 PM EDT, 06/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- McDonald's (MCD) plant-based burger tests in San Francisco and Dallas have been unsuccessful amid low customer demand, Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald's USA, said Wednesday at The Wall Street Journal Global Food Forum.

"It was not successful in either market," Erlinger said, adding that the company is making more investments in chicken meat production amid higher customer demand.
