02:16 PM EDT, 03/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- MDA Space ( MDA ) last seen down 10% to a fresh 52-week low, on Tuesday afternoon again said its Canadarm3 program linked with NASA's Artemis program is a contract with the Canadian Space Agency and not with NASA or the U.S. government.
The company was responding to comments by NASA chief executive Jared Isaacman that Gateway is being paused. NASA would instead focus on "infrastructure that supports sustained operations on the lunar surface," Global News reports.
In a statement, MDA said, "There has been no change to any MDA Space ( MDA ) contract and our work on the Canadarm3 program continues to progress. We remain fully focused on executing our existing contracts and advancing our commercial opportunities to expand further."
It added that the Canadarm3 contract serves multiple markets including space agency and commercial opportunities. Canadarm3 is currently in the design phase of the program and can pivot to an alternate operating environment.
"We are in continuous dialogue with the Canadian Space Agency and expect that Canada will continue to contribute robotics technology to the Artemis mission."
MDA Space ( MDA ) shares were last seen down $4.54 to $40.22 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
