08:50 AM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- MDA Space ( MDALF ) , a mission partner to the space industry, said Tuesday that it has launched its new vessel detection onboard processing system, or VDOP, for geo-intelligence data.

As part of MDA Chorus, the new service will provide defense and intelligence organizations access to the data and insights required to support critical and time-sensitive maritime defense and security missions.

Separately, the company selected Burloak Technologies as part of the supply chain for MDA Aurora, a product line driving the transition from analog to digital satellite technology, Burloak said on Tuesday. Burloak Technologies will provide more than 50,000 metal additively manufactured flight hardware components to MDA Space ( MDALF ).

The MDA Aurora supply chain is intended to support product deliveries for anchor customer Telesat's (TSAT. TO) Low Earth Orbit satellite constellation Telesat Lightspeed.
