03:06 PM EDT, 03/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- MDA Space ( MDA ) said Tuesday that its Canadarm3 program, associated with the Artemis program, is a contract with the Canadian Space Agency and not with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration or the US government.
The company said there has been no change in its contract and its Canadarm3 program continues to progress.
MDA Space's ( MDA ) statement followed NASA's recent decision to pause the Lunar Gateway outpost to shift focus on infrastructure that enables sustained Lunar surface operations.
The Canadarm3 program serves multiple markets, including space agency and commercial opportunities, and the program's architecture was developed to support multiple use cases, including in low Earth orbit, in cislunar space, and on the Lunar surface, MDA Space ( MDA ) said.
Shares of the company were down 9.2% in Tuesday afternoon trading.
