04:33 PM EDT, 05/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- MDA Space ( MDALF ) after close of trade Friday said SatixFy Communications ( SATX ) shareholders voted to approve its US$193-million acquisition by MDA Space ( MDALF ).

MDA Space ( MDALF ) last month agreed to acquire SatixFy, which makes satellite communication systems, for US$2.10 per share. More than 99% of shares voted to approve the offer.

"We are pleased that an overwhelming majority of SatixFy shareholders support our merger with MDA Space ( MDALF )," said SatixFy Chief Executive Officer Nir Barkan. "This significant milestone in the process is confirmation of the shareholder value created by this strategic transaction, and of the strong strategic fit of SatixFy within MDA Space ( MDALF ) as the market continues to transition from analog to digital technologies."

MDA Space ( MDALF ) shares closed down $0.03 to $28.13 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
