07:35 AM EDT, 06/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- MDA Space ( MDA ) signed a US$620 million deal to buy 100% of US-based spacecraft and satellite component manufacturer Blue Canyon Technologies' membership interests.

The Canadian space technology company said Friday it expects the deal to expedite its growth strategy and expand its manufacturing footprint, thanks to Blue Canyon's two manufacturing facilities in Colorado. It also expects a US$3.5 billion boost to its opportunity pipeline from the acquisition.

Closing of the all-cash transaction is expected by the end of 2026, subject to purchase price adjustments and other terms and approvals.

Blue Canyon Technologies is part of RTX's Raytheon business.
