Medirom Unit Secures Series A Investment From NFES Technologies; Shares Soar Pre-Bell

08:35 AM EDT, 08/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Medirom Healthcare Technologies ( MRM ) said Monday that NFES Technologies agreed to be the lead investor in Medirom Mother Labs' series A financing round.

NFES Technologies' participation in the financing round, which values Mother Labs at 9 billion yen ($62.5 million) on a pre-money basis, is expected to attract additional investors, Medirom said.

The company said NFES Technologies will get the series A shares as a third-party allotment.

Shares of Medirom soared more than 178% in premarket activity Monday.
