12:42 PM EDT, 09/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Medtronic ( MDT ) said Thursday that a study evaluating the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery, or RAS, system in inguinal and ventral hernia repair procedures met its primary effectiveness endpoint.

The study included 193 patients undergoing either inguinal or ventral robotic hernia repair and showed a 100% surgical success rate, surpassing the pre-specified performance goal of 85%, Medtronic ( MDT ) said.

Medtronic ( MDT ) shares were 1.4% higher in recent trading.
