09:31 AM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Merck's ( MRK ) Animal Health division has completed its $1.3 billion acquisition of Elanco Animal Health's ( ELAN ) aqua business, the companies said Tuesday.

The cash deal was first announced in early February.

Elanco said the expected net proceeds of $1.05 billion to $1.10 billion will be used for debt payment in Q3.
