04:52 PM EDT, 05/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Merit Medical Systems ( MMSI ) said late Wednesday it appointed Joe Wright as president, effective immediately.

Wright most recently served as chief commercial officer.

The company said the board continues to identify potential internal and external candidates for chief executive officer in preparation for the previously announced retirement of Fred Lampropoulos at the end of 2025.
