Meta Platforms Adds Instagram, Facebook, Messenger Teen Users to Teen Accounts

08:57 AM EDT, 09/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) said Thursday it has placed hundreds of millions of teens into Teen Accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger, expanding the protections globally on Facebook and Messenger.

The company said Teen Accounts limit who teens interact with and the content they see. Meta also launched a School Partnership Program in the US that allows middle and high schools to report safety issues directly for faster review, the company said.

Meta said it is expanding its online safety curriculum for middle school students, with the aim of reaching one million children.
