Meta Platforms Launches AI Chatbot in 6 Countries

12:43 PM EDT, 10/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) said Wednesday it is launching Meta AI in 21 new locations, with an immediate rollout in the UK, Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay and the Philippines.

The artificial intelligence chatbot will also be available in the Middle East soon, the tech giant said.

Meta said it is adding support for Tagalog starting Wednesday followed by other languages including Arabic, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese in the coming weeks.

Meta AI will be available in 43 countries and a dozen languages after this gradual rollout. It can be accessed through Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger apps and at meta.ai. on the web, the company said.

The company said it is also rolling out Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses in the UK and Australia.

Shares of Meta fell 1% in recent trading.
