Meta Platforms Q3 Earnings, Revenue Rise

04:30 PM EDT, 10/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) reported Q3 diluted earnings late Wednesday of $6.03 per share, up from $4.39 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $5.29.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $40.59 billion, up from $34.15 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $40.31 billion.

Meta said it expects Q4 revenue to be in the range of $45 billion to $48 billion. The Cap IQ consensus is for revenue of $46.24 billion.

The company adjusted its full-year 2024 total expense forecast to a range of $96 billion to $98 billion from $96 billion to $99 billion previously.

The company said it expects full-year 2024 capital expenditures to be in the range of $38 billion to $40 billion, compared with the prior range of $37 billion to $40 billion.
