12:03 PM EST, 11/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) said Wednesday it will invest over $1 billion to build a data center in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, focused on artificial intelligence.

Once operational, the data center will be optimized for Meta's expanding AI workloads, the company said.

The investment will create over 100 operational jobs and over 1,000 skilled trade workers onsite at peak construction, it said.

Meta will also underwrite almost $200 million in energy infrastructure investments to cover costs related to building the data center, it added.
