Aug 20, 2025 3:53 AM

01:42 PM EDT, 08/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) is restructuring its artificial intelligence group known as Meta Superintelligence Labs and reassigning employees into four teams, multiple reports said Tuesday.

The move is intended to accelerate the company's pursuit of so-called superintelligence, Bloomberg reported, citing an internal memo issued by Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang Tuesday.

The reorganization will create dedicated teams for AI research, superintelligence, product development, and infrastructure, The New York Times reported, citing people with knowledge of the plans.

The company is also looking at possible job cuts, with some AI executives expected to leave, the report added.

Meta Platforms ( META ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
