Meta to Build $10 Billion Data Center in Louisiana

01:43 PM EST, 12/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) disclosed plans Wednesday to build a $10 billion data center in Louisiana.

The 4 million-square-foot data center will be located in Richland Parish and will be designed specifically for artificial intelligence workloads, according to Meta. Construction will begin in December and continue through 2030.

Meta added the facility will be the company's largest in the world.

The data center will get its power supply from Entergy ( ETR ) , Meta said.
