Meta, Universal Music Expand Global Agreement

10:28 AM EDT, 08/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) and Universal Music Group said Monday they are expanding their global, multiyear agreement.

The new deal will create commercial opportunities for Universal Music, its artists and songwriters in Meta-owned platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and others, the companies said.

The companies said they will also keep working to address unauthorized artificial intelligence-generated content.

Financial details weren't provided.
