Four analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected a loss of $4.40.

Revenue in the year ended Dec. 31 rose to $44.8 million from $17.2 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $42.6 million.

As of Dec. 31, the company had cash and cash equivalents and available-for-sale marketable securities of $271.2 million.

Metagenomi ( MGX ) closed its $93.8 million initial public offering in February.
