07:52 AM EST, 01/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms' ( META ) Community Notes feature that will be introduced later this year would not be enabled for paid ads but would apply only to organic content, multiple media reports said Thursday.

Brand and influencer organic posts might initially be excluded from the program, The Wall Street Journal said, citing a person familiar with Meta. Organic content refers to posts that Meta hasn't been paid to promote.

Community Notes will be gradually phased in across the US over the next few months, with plans to refine the system throughout the year, Meta announced last week.

Meta did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
