MEXICO CITY, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Energy priorities for
Mexico's government include boosting state-owned national power
company CFE while also setting rules for private electricity
producers, including those generating clean energy, senior
officials said on Wednesday.
Energy Minister Luz Elena Gonzalez, speaking at a press
conference alongside the country's president, said private power
producers will be able to generate renewable electricity of up
to 9.55 gigawatts by 2030.
The term of leftist President Claudia Sheinbaum, who took
office last month, extends until 2030.
